About Kansas Division

Welcome to Kansas Division

    

                 

 

As a division of the International Association of Administrative Professionals® (IAAP®) Kansas Division is a part of a not-for-profit professional association with 7 professional and 2 corporate chapters in the state. Each chapter elects its own officers and holds regular educational meetings as well as seminars, workshops, membership drives and other events. The Kansas Division is managed by a Board of Directors who are elected each year at the Kansas Division Annual Meeting. There are also division committees that help with the work of the division. 

Kansas Division works in partnership with employers to promote excellence. Its members include administrative assistants, executive secretaries, office coordinators, information specialists, and related administrative professionals.

Kansas Division is one of 7 divisions in the Southwest District. 
Our purpose is to provide education and training, leadership development, and networking opportunities for our members. Our division is the link in the chain between the chapters and the international association with the purpose of furthering the aims of the association and assisting the International Board in providing leadership and guidance to the chapters and division members at large.

  • Employers with information on how their support of their administrative professionals will create win-win situations for their companies.

About IAAP

The International Association of Administrative Professionals is a not-for-profit professional association for office professionals with approximately 40,000 members and affiliates and nearly 600 chapters worldwide. Our mission is to enhance the success of career-minded administrative professionals by providing opportunities for growth through education, community building and leadership development. The association founded in 1942 as the National Secretaries Association to provide a professional network and educational resources for secretarial staff. The association's name was changed in 1998 to the International Association of Administrative Professionals to encompass the large number of varied administrative job titles and recognize the advancing role of administrative support staff in business and government.
